Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing Patrick Star from Spongebob Squarepants
1. Begin by drawing Patrick's eyes. Draw two slightly overlapping ovals. Draw a curved line across each. In the bottom half of each eye, shade a small oval to indicate the pupil. Draw a "Z" shaped eyebrow above each eye.
2. Use a series of overlapping curved lines to sketch the side of the face, the mouth, and the side of the torso. Notice how one line is "L" shaped to form the mouth, with a short line at the corner.
3. Draw a "J" shaped line for the arm, and use a series of curved lines of various lengths to draw the top of the head.
4. Extend the line at the back of the head and double it back upon itself to form the remaining arm.
5. Draw a pair of narrowly spaced curved lines across the belly, forming the waistband of the pants. Above the waistband, draw two short curved lines to indicate the belly button.
6. Use a series of overlapping curved lines to draw the legs of Patrick's shorts.
7. Use wavy curved lines to outline the large flower shapes on Patrick's swim trunks.
8. Use two short curved lines to outline Patrick's feet beneath the legs of his shorts.
9. Shade several small teardrop shapes to texture the skin on Patrick's arms, head, and torso.
